Yugi Moto
Yugi is one of the greatest duelist besides Seto Kaiba. Everyone knows that Yugi is very shy but he is anything but shy when playing a game of Duel Monsters. His best friends are Téa,Joey,Tristan,and Bakura. All five of them travel around together. When Yugi was growing up, his Grandfather gave him an ancient Egyptian artifact called the "Millenium Puzzle" to try and figure out. It is said that whosoever manages to solve this puzzle will be granted dark and mysterious powers. Yugi finally solved the "Millenium Puzzle" and gained extrodinary dueling powers. Yugi still does not know the full extent of the "Millenium Puzzle" but as he continues to duel he gains more and more knowledge about the artifact. Yugi's favorite Duel Monster Card is the Dark Magician. Yugi has never lost a match so far until he battled Seto Kaiba! But Seto Kaiba cheated so it shouldnt count.
Yu-gi-oh! aka Yami Yugi
Yu-gi-oh is the more powerful alter ego of Yugi. Whenever a duel is going to occur or the "Millenium Puzzle" activates Yugi transforms into Yu-gi-oh! When Yugi transforms he becomes more taller,looks older, and his voice deepens. When Yu-gi-oh, Yugi is better at the Duel Monsters game.
Grandpa
Grandpa use to travel the world in his younger age but now he owns a local card/game shop. Grandpa is an expert of Duel Monsters and other games. I think he knows more than Pegasus. Yugi and his friends often go to Grandpa for help about Duel Monsters. Grandpa is a very kind person. He even takes the time to tutor Joey about Duel Monsters. Grandpa use to own 1 of the 4 only "Blue Eyes White Dragon" cards. But sadly Grandpa lost it in a duel to Seto Kaiba. Kaiba then ripped it up because he had the remaining 3 "Blue Eyes White Dragon" cards. Grandpa taught Yugi about the "heart of the cards." Grandpa was captured by Pegasus by his Millenium Eye. Yugi is now trying to save his Grandpa from the clutches of Pegasus.
Joey Wheeler
Joey is one of Yugi's best friends. Joey grew up as a wild and tough street kid. Joey has changed now and even acts as a older brother for Yugi. Joey gets angry quick and often acts before he thinks. Joey has become a good duelist after training under Yugi's grandpa. Joey cares alot for his sister Serenity.
Tristan Taylor
Tristan met Yugi the same time his long time pal Joey did. Joey and Tristan often argue but they always end up forgiving each other. Tristan travels along with Yugi on his quest to become the ultimate duelist.
Téa Gardner
Out of all Yugi's friends Téa is the most sincere and kindest. She is always ready to cheer on Yugi to a victory. She wants to become a ballet dancer when she gets older. Téa is not the best duelist but her skills at playing the Duel Monsters game are exceptional.
Bakura
Yugi and Bakura are school friends. Bakura posesses the "Millenium Ring." The "Millenium Ring" sometimes possesses Bakura without his control. Bakura travels along with Yugi and shows him where other Millenium items are by the use of his "Millenium Ring."
Seto Kaiba
Seto Kaiba is the wealthy owner of his own company called KaibaCorp. At KaibaCorp he creates hologram Duel Monsters boards. Kaiba loves to play the Duel Monsters game. He has the 3 remaining "Blue Eyes White Dragon" Cards. He is also the first to combing the Blue Eyes White Dragons into The Blue Eyes Ultimate White Dragon. Kaiba cares to much about power that is what makes him lose. Kaiba cares tremendously for his younger brother, Mokuba Kaiba. Kaiba needs to save Mokuba from Pegasus. Seto Kaiba is probably the second strongest duelist.
Mokuba Kaiba
Mokuba does not see any evil in Seto. He loves and cares for his brother. He does not lose faith in his brother and awaits patiently for Seto to rescue him from Pegasus.
Mai Valentine
Mai is very pretty and dangerous. She is an excellent duelist and has not lost that many matches. At first she seemed to be a "bad guy" but has turned around. She even offered Yugi five star chips.
=aximillion Pegasus
Pegasus is a dictator and greedy person. He wants to capture all the Millenium Items for hisself. He will do anything for the items. He even captured Mokuba and Granpa with his left eye. Pegasus had his left eye replaced with the "Millenium Eye." Pegasus seems to be the only one who knows how to control their Millenium completely. He use his eye to see the hand of his opponent. That is how he wins all the time. Pegasus modeled Duel Monsters after a mysterious Egyptian game thousands of years old. So really he is not the creator of Duel Monsters.
